NIGERIA will be BETTER!

My Fellow Citizen,
What do you think about the situation of Nigeria now? For too long we have borne this burden. For too long we have tarried in this mess. For many years we have dragged our lives through the paths of harsh and bitter conditions; with a hope of reaching something better, until we lost hope - or almost we did. We have folded our arms for so long a time and watched the decadence of our society reach her optimum, and passed. We have allowed this predicaments to linger for too many a generation now. We smile as though all is well but a baby newly born here knows the truth of the matter. While just a handful of us live in fame, all of the rest wallop in terrible shame. How much longer can we keep up with all these? The time has come for us; you and me, to do something about this.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
The present situations of our city, state, and nation, has become more alarming than ever. Is there no solution aside just complaining? How much longer do you think we can hold up in this circumstance? What’s the worst that could happen if we just give in a little try? Is there really nothing you can do? Is there really nothing we can do together? If we think we can’t then we are absolutely right. But so it is if we also think otherwise. It will begin when we all say, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH” and stand up for it. Enough of suffering, poverty, unemployment, frustration, injustice, marginalization, etc. Be rest assured that we will remain in these predicaments if we do nothing but talk; or think that someone else would do something for us.

BE INFORMED
Every situation has a solution. Know that you in particular, have a part to play in all of these. We cannot leave anything to CHANCE and expect a CHANGE. The actual problem we have in our country, which is common to Africa is “lack of knowledge." and the solution is simply the acquisition of the same. Information is the KEY. The transformation of any country is largely dependent on the quality of information available to her citizens. This means that the fastest and simplest way for all Nigerians to get out of this mess is to go for relevant information. Information that would make us better. The moment we become thoroughly informed, we become truly FREE. We must emancipate ourselves from the holds of ignorance in order to secure a better Nigeria. So be informed!

“ARISE O COMPATRIOT”
There is a small handbook, with the above title on sale around you. It is cheap and contains very vital information that would serve as catalyst to the change we truly desire. We discovered that the information contained in this book has not been known by so many people in this recent generation; and those who know about it are not doing anything about it. And until we all have this common information we might be unable to understand the gravity of the situation we are in, the root cause and perhaps the need for information as the panacea for change in Nigeria. Please I would advise you to get the book, read it and encourage others to get it. Our target is to ensure that there is a copy in every home and office across the nation, and that about 10 million Nigerians have this information. By the time we all have this information it will be clear to you what you need to do to ensure the change in Nigeria. Please get your copy now.

Change Begins With You
I would like you to believe in this transformation agenda. We have a plan and there is a part you must play. Enough of the fighting, enough of the protests. Let us take advantage of the time we are now. This is the best time we have TO ARISE. We must not let this situation pass on to the next generation without doing something. There is something you can do. Since INFORMATION is the key, the part you are to play is to get this information and read, then join those in search for relevant information that would better their lives, families, and immediate society, causing rippling effect around the nation and Africa at large. Do not ignore this collective opportunity in our hands. Join the information army of Africa and save your country from retrogression. Knowledge is what we need. Therefore, GO FOR KNOWLEDGE and encourage everyone around you to Go For KNOWLEDGE!

WHO ARE WE
Please be informed that this information is solely distributed by a body of JUST concerned Nigerians who are tired of the harsh and unconducive situations of the nation that has daily affected us directly or indirectly, especially the youths.

It is important for you to note that this information is not politically or economically influenced. We are not sponsored by any political party, government parastatal, or foreign body. We have just observed the obvious situation of Nigeria and WE believe that rather than sit idle and watch the nation rot, we should do the little we can to bring about this transformation through information – and YES WE CAN!

JOIN THE REFORMATION
If this information has made any meaning to you, if you would like to order for your copy of the book, or you would like to make bulk purchase of the small handbook – ARISE O COMPATRIOT, or you would like to be part of the movement for transforming Nigeria, if you want to know what you can do: please call us on +234-8025288085; or +234-8067561385.

REFORMATION IN NIGERIA
I belong to the unique residual class of Nigerians who are resolute in their belief that good will come out of their nation. It’s immaterial the thoughts of people about this nation. Even though when you observe the acclaimed Giant of Africa at a close distance his movement is that of a man hanging troubled legs on battered crutches. His upraised chest is infected with tuberculosis of corruption, yes I know! He makes boast of his unending reserve of crude oil yet those begotten of him wallow in constant lack of fuel. Many his sons and daughters ponder and wonder what the measure of a Giant is for the acclaimed Giant of Africa is Forty Six yet crawling. Almost always plastered on his lips are those nauseating grin revealing his perfectly-spaced, glistening diamond teeth that speaks of untapped resources that could bring him into the place of uncommon wealth. His belly outflows with an unending reserve of black oil to the hinterlands, yet the same causes constipation and dysmenorrheal in his own bowels. The streets of this Giant have been completely overtaken by car-wrecking gullies. So that there are more gullies than motor able roads on his streets. Corruption and greed proudly adorn the head of his leaders. On every corner of the Giant’s street are religious houses. Yet the eyes of the giant are dim. His seers have lost the focus of integrity. Instead of forecasting repentance and re-alliance, they forecast pleasure and hope, in direct denial of the things to come. The hands of the giant, sure weapons of defense and protection are long deep in the mud of corruption. Such hands are too laden with filth to be raised in defense of the giant. Even when the obvious clues to murders are between the frontlets of their eyes, they’ll rather arrest N50 than a criminal. Mere men have stood where my Giant has fallen. And now, even the legs, the hope of change, the young and new generation is crippled and lay limp on the hinges of crutches. Totally soiled by the paradigm and faulty though pattern of the older generation. Its picture depicts that of hopelessness. But I REFUSE TO BE A HOPELESS NIGERIAN. I daily and passionately cling to the hope of a new Nigeria. I FORESEE A REFORMATION that will sweep through the length and breadth of my Nation. The reformation will be so profound and its effect so lasting yet it will be orchestrated outside political parties. The political parties have failed in their totality yet GOD WILL RAISE A COMPANY that will birth A NEW NIGERIA. That is the basis of my hope. That Nigeria will be the true Giant of Africa. I continually remember that “A tree that is cut down has hope, for at the SCENT OF WATER it will blossom again.” You may not believe but yet it will come to pass. Just in case you believe with me “SAY AMEN!”

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

It is so amazing how God made the world, HIS wonders are unsearchable. God builded and established the earth and caused it to operate ONLY on the platform of PRINCIPLES. Not to discriminate, favour, but to obey. It does not matter who you are, once you apply the fundamental principles of the earth it will answer for you.

For instance, the principle guiding gravity says “whatever goes up must come down” so if you throw a stone here in Nigeria, or over there in Hiroshima, it will come down. In the same vein, another principle of the earth says “SEED time and HARVEST” shall not cease. This means that if you plant any seed in the ground here in Nigeria, China, or America, it will germinate and bring fruits of its kind.

One basic principle that a lot of us undermine is that “YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!”

If you eat meat, you become fleshy; when you eat bones your bones become stronger. When you drink enough water, your body sustains adequate fluidity; when you take vitamin, you body gets more vitamins. If you’ve never known this before or better put; never believed this, then you must come to know it now. You are not different from what you eat. It is what you eat that makes you, you. Think about this; when someone lacks protein in his system, they do not tell the person to pray for protein to enter the body because it does not answer to prayers. All they say is “eat anything protein”. So also, when the person lacks vitamin, water, fat, carbohydrate, etc. all they do is to expose the individual to the required nutrient and that’s it.

Now, if you have found this statement to be true that means you must begin to WATCH WHAT YOU EAT! This is because what you eat can make or mar you. The materials you consume, the quantity you consume, and the time you consume it is very important to making you healthy.

EAT GOD'S WORD
God knew all these – because HE made it so – that was why HE said that “man will die if he eats bread alone” – Deuteronomy 8:3. Bread alone cannot give man healthy, wealthy, and abundant life. But the moment man begins to eat the WORD, abundant and eternal life will begin to surge into him.

I want you to know therefore, that there is a difference between reading God’s Word, and EATING God’s Word. Reading or studying God’s Word is good, no doubt. When you read it you become a show – 2Timothy 2:15. But when you EAT God’s Word, you come alive – Proverbs 4:20-22.

HOW TO EAT GOD’S WORD
Jeremiah 15:16 says; “Thy Words were found, and I did EAT them… So God’s word can be eaten. Eating God’s Word does not really mean tearing pages of the bible and chewing it to belly-full, or dipping it in a cup of tea to drink. No! You eat God’s Word first through;

RIGOROUS STUDY AND SEARCH
There is a level of time consuming search, and research you engage in God’s Word daily; with commensurate proof of such search, you can be said to have gone beyond just reading, to the level of eating the Word. There is an obvious difference between the one that reads the word and he that eats the word. They never enjoy the same status. Why? Their roots and fruits are varied. Their level of understanding is usually disparate; irrespective of the fact that they are reading from the same bible – Matthew 23:13. Only those who eat the Word get a hundred fold fruit as results. Another way to eat God’s Word is through;

THE COMMUNION
Remember that the Word of God is Jesus Christ Himself – John 1:1, 14. Jesus has instructed that if we must have a part with HIM, we must ensure we eat HIS flesh, and drink HIS blood – john 6:51 – 56. When we partake of the physical activity of the communion, we set our bodies to be conformed to that of Christ. And what happens when we do that? Our eyes become opened – receiving unusual REVELATION into God’s Word – Luke 24:30-31.

IN CONCLUSION…
It is high time you ate that which will give divine health to your body, wealth to your mind and spirit, and eternal life in general. If you are what you eat, then eat God’s Word to become god.

God bless.
“THE FOUR STAGES OF LIFE”
Life has in it, four major successive stages. A proper understanding of these stages will help you in appropriating whichever one you are in right now. Please read with all seriousness.

STAGE ONE – PLAY
All life activity for every person begins with play. At this stage life is just simple and carefree. This is when the person is yet a child – between the ages of 0 - 7. But it is important to note that at this play stage, the child is passing through installation and storage of information and character building from people and the environment. The kind of play the individual is exposed to, is therefore very important for the next stage.

STAGE TWO – LEARN
At the initial point of the learning stage, life is though simple but approached with a little more consciousness than before. Here the individual is between the ages of 8 and 20. Though play stage gives way to learning; it does not mean the person no longer indulges in plays, but learning becomes more paramount than the former. However, the initial kind of play the child was exposed to, comes to influence the kind of interest, capacity and level of learning of the child in this stage. Here, character and value is being shaped and guided. But time is of great essence. One thing to note is that all the plays and learnings acquired from these two stages is what enhances the next stage.

STAGE THREE – WORK
This stage in life is a bit crucial than the previous. It is approached with utmost consciousness, diligence, etc. the individual is around the ages of 21 - 50, in this stage, there is very less play, a little of learning (only where necessary), and much of work, work, work. Work is done for three major reasons. They are; to earn a living, to cater for the family, and to provide a sustainable platform for life when retired. Work here involves working for and with people, working on and for yourself, and most especially, working ON people. The adequate plays, learnings and works in these three stages are what enhance the next and last stage.

STAGE FOUR – PLAY, LEARN, WORK, PLAY, LEARN, WORK…
At this fourth stage, the person is believed to be around 50 – infinitum. What characterizes this stage is that the individual is fitted to live up all three stages in one. Here the play (the mature kind), the learning, and the work is needed. For some individuals in this level, their work still takes highest place. But they still find times to play and learn at leisure. But to others, they just find themselves doing one simple activity that basically defines their play, their learning, and their work life. It is in that same work that they learn and also play. This is the ultimate definition of true happiness and must be the state everyone should crave to enter into. It is called the state of YOUR REST; not because you are tired, but because you are SATISFIED.

WHAT STAGE ARE YOU NOW? HOW ARE YOU FINDING IT?

ARISE, O Compatriot!

This is the title of MY NEW BOOK (THE FIRST EVER PUBLISHED ACTUALLY)

This book is written for the purpose of those who are not happy with the way things are going in Nigeria and Africa at large; and wish to make a change to the status quo. We hav complained enough, we have cried and talked too much about the situation for too long... nothing will be done for however long we fold our arms to discuss this problem, unless we sit up or stand up or better still, ARISE.
Please read an excerpt from my new book.
I was putting together an article on FACEBOOK some time ago and I asked a general question to get the response of my friends. The question was; “if you were to ask Nigeria one question, what would it be?” the response were not much but surprising. Amongst other responses, one person said she would ask Nigeria if it was under a curse. I had cause to think on this line at one time too. I mean, looking at the facts stated above, it is not illogical for one to assume that this nation is under a curse. But this is not true. Nigeria is not under any curse or plague. We only need to ask ourselves what is wrong. Why are things the way they seem? A lot of citizens have given up hope and accepted the predicaments of this country as a thing of fate; drawing scriptures from the bible that supports our insubordination to British colonization. We have made ourselves believe that we are under a curse, a plague, or a sealed misfortune. But hardly has anyone bothered to consider that something might just be wrong somewhere that has called for all this in the first.

At a certain point in time I had cause to think about it. After several brooding on the issue I came to the understanding according to the bible that “…the curse causeless shall not come.” Proverbs 26:2. Then I said to myself that there must be a root cause for all these predicaments plaguing our dear nation. It is not enough to talk about it as so many people do, I choose to take conscious steps to finding out what exactly went wrong and proffer a lasting solution to the problem.

I wanted to know what the PROBLEMS truly were. So, I understudied the other problems afore mentioned and understood that they were not the actual problem; if they were, why was it that all the solutions proffered in Nigeria’s situation, which have worked elsewhere, did not work in Nigeria. This is because the assumed problems of Nigeria are simply consequences of the root cause. It is just as though a doctor is administering drugs for Malaria on a body sick of cancer. That would rather exacerbate the condition. The book of John 8:32 say, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” If we do not know the truth we would not make any difference in our pursuit of development and change. Rather, we would aggravate the situations in the country.

In the attempt to know, I, Mark Emmanuel Amechi, understood by books and articles addressing the uncommon situation of Nigeria, that a lot of people have attempted remedying the situation of Nigeria, which is good. But they have not succeeded because they proffered certain foreign remedies that are not peculiar to the Nigerian case. Every nation’s problem is unique in itself and requires a unique approach to it. Most importantly, they are not taking into account, certain procedures that are of top priority to problem solving. One of such procedures is running a trace of past events in history. We have completely isolated the events in history from the problem analysis.

My friend, have you ever wondered that our challenges as a nation today could have been based on certain events that took place a long time ago? I mean a very long time ago, I am talking about a very very long time ago. Think upon this; WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IN AFRICA/ NIGERIA BEFORE INDEPENDENCE?! Have you any idea? Well if you do not, it is high time you knew your history.

In an attempt to personally find out the true and major cause of Nigeria’s predicament, I understood by books that we need to go back in time to some epochs in history that affected the course of the people of Nigeria and Africa at large. Confucius, a Chinese philosopher stated that we must study the past if we must divine the future. Nelson Mandela of South Africa, in one of his quotes, stated that the past is a rich resource on which we can draw in order to make decisions for the future. He went further to say that we should look back at the past and select what is good and leave behind what is bad. Lyndon Baines Johnson, a onetime U.S. president stated that “a nation like a person, not conscious of its own past is adrift without purpose against the contending forces of dissolution.” Another German politician noted that “a people not prepared to face its own history cannot manage to face its own future.”

You see, from the above statements, you will agree with me that it is quite important that Nigeria must look at the past critically to understand her present situation. Africa and Nigeria in particular did not just get to where they are now by mere chance or fate or whatever you would call it. Nigeria is not underdeveloped because the leaders are bad. We are not suffering because we do not know what it takes to survive. In the course of history, something happened that altered the entire development process in the whole of Africa. Now let us go back in time and ascertain what took place in Africa.
